What is the Genome Science + Technology Program?

The Genome Science and Technology Program (GSAT) is a multidisciplinary graduate program combining training in genomics with intensive training in leading-edge genome science technologies. Teaching students to use this technology to bring together information from DNA sequences (genomics), protein expression and interactions (proteomics), gene expression patterns (transcriptomics)and many other engineering and quantitative biology tools students graduate from the program as experts in navigating the intersection of biology, engineering, and physical sciences

Who is this program for?

As a multidisciplinary program, we welcome students with a variety of backgrounds in the life sciences and other related research areas. Our goal is to open doors for our graduates to enter academia or industry prepared to ask important research questions, and effectively use advanced research technology to answer those questions.  

If you are interested in ‘omics research, and want to learn about evolving technologies in the field, this program is for you.
